Blue Dream series#2
Dimension: 30 x 40 cm • 11.8 x 15.7 inches$594.00 inc. tax
“Nínú ìkòkò dúdú ni ẹkọ funfun ti’n jáde” (the white pap is produced through the help of the black botton pot)
“inú dundun ni’n mori’ya” (happiness of the heart helps maintain sanity of the mind)
This body of works was inspired by the above Adages, and the need to propagate self induced happiness and keep believing in one’s vision, no matter the situation of things. As someone that lives in a part of the world where there are societal bias. Where the ability for the female gender to dream are somewhat limited to the kitchen, and the closing of her wedding party. I use this series to admonish these souls never to stop believing in themselves. All they want to become are within them and digging into self to pull out those things that aid fulfillment and true happiness for them is what they should keep striving for. Just like my choice of blue in the background of this series, in form of the sky. Which will only be the starting point of a woman that knows her worth.
